It is not the England in V for Vendetta… scratch the surface and you’ll realize it’s far, far, worse.

Name me one other country where a panel of just 2 or 3 people decided what was suitable for the nation to watch? Before the internet arrived – this is EXACTLY how it was from 1984 (no, I’m not kidding) onwards. And that’s just one very small example.

The right for people to gather was destroyed with the Criminal Justice Bill.

The right to protests outside parliament is so heavily diluted in legal procedure that it is now less of a protest and more of a polite gesture that finishes promptly at at tea time and then off home with you.

Say what people want about the USA – you guys still have some freedom left – UK citizens don’t, and whatever scraps are left are being chewed and spat out by each successive government that gets into power.
