I lasted 10 minutes on uTorrent 2.2. Went back on 2.0.x. Sorry, but that version is just awful. Looks bad and all those addons and crap? Why!? And i really don’t care about VLC. There is many better(win based) players out (for me it’s The KMPlayer)

i hate VLC player . but I installed the app to testit and then found I easy have it use Media player classic
as the default player .so hey I am happy

Why VLC i see you all asking….

VLC is closely tied to uTorrent as they share many of the same developers, coders, bug reporters and irc trolls <3.

Beyond the ties, VLC is a very good all-round player. NO it is certainly not the best for performance, looks, etc. But it is by far one of the most robust players available.

Just browse through these two pages and try finding a single media player comparable :P

I rather like the idea of uTorrent integrating with a media player, but why did it have to be VLC? MPC-HC is a superior FOSS player in every conceivable way. What about writing it to integrate with WMP instead? Aside from being VLC, the implementation of of the VLC addon is horrible. It doesn’t actually integrate, but instead installs its own version.

uTorrent’s app platform is rather poor, as are most of the current apps. If the current trend continues, I will probably be abandoning utorrent for Deluge or qBittorrent, since my private trackers accept both.
