Fuck Disney and its illegal, corrupt Sonny Bono copyright extension act. Characters like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck should have passed into the public domain long ago. Disney abuses the copyright law as if it were an indefinite monopoly right. Congress passed the copyright law to “promote the arts” not give corrupt corporations a right to print money.

What I meant by that didn’t have anything to do with the issues discussed here. When I wrote that I was thinking of the beneficial use of surveillance…CCTV, facial and license plate recognition, drones…all observing activity in public places. I wish we had much, much more of that.

Also, I’d like to see a revamp of all “search and seizure laws, all the way up to the 4th amendment.

And kill that damn 2nd amendment!! Asshole “founding fathers”!!

More surveillance and police powers and less guns.

And, finally, we need to return to government-regulated capitalism. Although I’m a fervent capitalist, I am 100% against unrestrained capitalism which we have been seeing more and more since the Regan era. Bring back taxation and capitalism as it existed in the Eisenhower era. No more ridiculous tax breaks for corporations or rich people. Disallow tax evasion by moving money or US corporate holdings out of the country.

We don’t need billionaires. Tax the shit out of them. Bring them down to merely “hundreds of millions” millionaires.

How does that fit in with wanting people to have the opportunity to make money? You can’t have economic freedom without personal freedom: an intrusive government won’t suddenly back off just because you decide to set up a business, and if anything will probably become more intrusive.

I’m not fighting any battle over the internet and I hold damn little common ground with people in their 20′s or tweeners (zero ground).

I just like to steal stuff and get away with it. Even when I support the laws I’m breaking. Supporting them and thinking they are just isn’t the same as wanting to personally follow them. There will be enough “honest citizens” to follow them. In fact, believing they are just laws makes me want to break them all the more.

I’m not in it for anyone but myself. Don’t lump my actions in with any “cause” or assume support of any group.
