Need we forget that Good Ol’ WB and their crony Viacom take down any video, even stuff under fair use, on Youtube without even caring if it’s theirs, or thinking about the concept of Fair Use? See, to big companies, Fair Use means – “we use it however we like and you don’t get a choice in the matter – that’s fair.”

The WB logo isn’t a mime, it’s a logo and already protected under logo copyrights.
It is a stupid mistake to overlook other’s copyrights when you’re trying to protect your own.

I am going to enjoy seeing WB lose in U.S. court. And before you ask, this isn’t optimism; this is realism. This is a jury deciding, and if a jury of peers (or at a later point, a judge or Justice) SOMEHOW can say that WB has not violated the U.S. Copyright Act under either the “substantial similarity” arguement or the violation of the right to either “prepare ‘derivative works’” or “perform the work ‘publicly’,” I’m sure the plaintiff would appeal. And the Supreme Court would at least get that right, because no matter what the DOJ may be doing, there is an extremely good reason why Americans have almost universal respect (not approval; that’s a different story due to the nature of politically-charged cases in the Court) for the Supreme Court, as opposed to Congress and the Presidency at any time

I may have to sue WB. After hearing the background music I’ll never be able to get that out of my mind. I’d have to say it has permanently disabled me and given me deep emotional trauma.
