Sorry, but the old organization of the Torrent Freak website was better. It’s now harder to read the site. The “eye candy factor” is now a bit higher, but I don’t like the new TF website as much as I liked the old TF website.

I didn’t like it when you folks took away the forums and now I don’t like this new development.

I’ve been coming to this website for at least 5 years and maybe more like 6 or 7 years.

You are pushing us away. All that is needed here is for a good competitor to come along and a lot of TF readers could say “bye bye” to you permanantly. We’ll see what happens.

I’m sure that you did all this with the best of intentions (falsely inflated page view count).

Now that almost 3 weeks have gone by, I have to admit that I much preferred the old format. I find the new page to be, well, just plain bad. I know you meant well, but you had a great site and it seems that a lot of us really liked it. It’s your business, but please consider a change back.

- There news bits are deceased. Just adding a picture to a headline doesn’t make it a category of latest news that can be easily read. The News Bits were what I always read first.

- When I search for e.g. TPB to search for the latest on the Piratebay the news is not sorted on date (maybe now they are sorted on the number of views or comments or whatever). The same for the tags. I want to be able to read the latest news without having to search for it.

Furthermore I don’t really like this makeover (other have complained about the white/wood imbalance already), but functionality is what matters more to me. And this non functional sorting annoys me a lot. And I couldn’t care less about the huge stats shown in the header. Return the news bits button there in stead.

I have to agree with the mass amjority of commentors that posted relevent criticism of the Site redesign. If it ain’t broke…. Update it – tweak it change the WP theme some – but this “jump on the FB-style band-wagon” approach because everyone else is doing it is complete bullsh*t.

I will go back to getting updates from TF via my RSS reader instead of bothering with this god awful horribly designed Website.

New site does not scale properly on a desktop/laptop – text runs off the right side of the screen no matter what I do. Also, the header on the main page doesn’t load at all. Too much dead space all over the article pages. Sorry – not loving the design in the slightest.

The redesign is pretty bad (even if it’s better than the current design of PolicyMiic’s website by the distance between the Sun and Pluto, give or take a few million miles), and looks rather amateurish to me, unless you’re going for the minimalist look. Also, the centered layout the site leaves almost 2-3 inches of blank space on the left side, which I really hate. It’s happened on other sites I love and I hate it there too.

But I have to know Ernesto: Why change the old burnt/light orange TorrentFreak color scheme to a hot-pink(?)/white color palette? I liked the orange background! Bring back the orange man!

One last thing: screw “mobile devices”. Last I checked, laptops were mobile too, yet this format doesn’t exactly look better on a laptop (or at least the one I’m using). Just come out and say it: when you say ‘mobile devices’, you’re talking about the tabletphone crowd (the two different groups are getting so close to each other in size that sometimes it’s hard to tell them apart).

Sorry, I can’t find myself ever getting to this new look. If you aren’t going to revert back to the old format, at least shift the site layout to the left side again (I’m starting to get a headache just while typing this! You have no idea how infuriating that is!).

I like it. I’m constantly clicking back to the homepage on many sites and having the TF logo right there allows for easy access.
