Legend has it that an R5 is a rip of an official DVD pre-release for region 5. This is not true, there is no such thing as an official DVD pre-release for region 5. Most often, an R5 is just a rip of a bootleg DVD that was pirated via Telecine. This R5 legend has been supported by a bogus Wikipedia entry for "R5 (bootleg)". Although that Wikipedia page was stubbed and later improved, it still uses bogus references that often reference back to the older Wikipedia entry, and/or opinionated sources in Russia. This is a great example of how BS can get copied and pasted around the web by people too lazy to check the facts. In the end, it looks like this R5 legend was started by pirates that wanted to hype their releases into being more than they were.

Why is FIRST such a big deal? Why does a few extra minutes even matter? I'm betting the majority of downloaders don't care either. What they want is high quality and high seed counts.

I want those x264 videos (or whatever) that are HD quality, hi-res videos but only like 400mb. When I see people release a movie that's 12 gigs and identical quality as something half greater than half that size, I just laugh because it's almost pretentious.

I couldn't care less who released it first. Just seems to be an unnecessary waste of time. The first release is rarely the best release and if I'm going to waste my time and bandwidth, it had better be worth it. I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes so that there is more competition.

Stop with all those new sites bumping out, get yourself a premium user in hotfile / mu / fileserve and stop nagging for an invite to a tracker.

TL Is by far the fastest tracker for mainstream why? because dumpers live this site, it has tons of members and still more want to join...

I think he meant your pretimes are inaccurate. I looked up a few today for 3 sites in particular and your site showed all 3 at least 15 - 30 seconds behind the actual pretime on every release.

Im a old ST member, and TM member :)
Good luck with TM, if you had some more uploaders your site might have potential to be good.
Best of luck!
