Despite what they say, Acta PIPA and anything like it WILL be used to block users from seeing things that the government don’t want them to see. As with a lot of acts that governments have brought in, they use a legal issue to create a law and then extend it to cover their own agenda. They have been trying for years to censor the internet so you can only see what they want you to see. This is merely another attempt to do the same.

After content has been blocked, it’s your word against theirs regarding what the content of the site was. If a site makes comments that disagree with administration, it will be blocked. Legal Nationalist political parties will have no forum to have their say. it amounts to Fascism at it’s extreme, block all means by which people can criticise the government. Mass media have already been warned not to promote Nationalism or provide a platform for them so the only way Nationalists can get their message out to people is via the internet.
