Seeing as I actually do read German and have lived there, I’d have to say that if Goebbels came back through time, he would still feel quite at home in GEMA. Their implemented policy, unsound propaganda and practice remains the same as it always was. The one and only difference between STAGMA 1940 and GEMA 2014 is that they target far more than just ethnic and religious minorities with their stale attempts at heavy-handed information control and casual abuse of freedom of speech.

It’s painfully obvious to anyone who’s ever seen a GEMA publication that although they do not specifically target minorities, human rights such as freedom of communication and speech is as much anathema to them as it always was.

They are considering an appeal, though.
