Heroes is leading the chart again, with over two million downloads for the latest episode only.
The data for the most recent TV episodes are collected by TorrentFreak from a representative sample of BitTorrent sites and is for informational and educational reference only.
Thanks to ShowInsider we now also include a list based on the total number of downloads (not only recent episodes) of all shows in the past week.

Im wondering though… Heroes is the top TV show and i read that this serie was not popular as the first season…But when you see all the downloads…I don’t think so
The problem with American TV shows is that once the first series gets you hooked, you find yourself watching the rest of the seasons anyway, just because.
Like Prison Break.
I must be really old because I only watch 2 shows on those lists. South Park and Entourage. Oh well, on with the torrenting….
Its just a shame all the acting in most tv shows is really b grade, i have tried watching all of the above & its just so damn predictable & b grade.
I bless bittorrent everyday for allowing me to watch my favourite series months in advance and without any of the dubbing crap which is typical here in Europe.
However, imho the ranking is biased by the fact that it doesn’t consider that Lost isn’t airing right now, as i guess Lost would top the ranking hands down…

I don’t understand why NCIS is not on that list.. Ever. It is one of the most watched shows in the US, and it has been for years.
Best show on tv/torrent IMO.
NCIS is also good i can wait for the next episode like my wife she loves it

I can understand why the American TV shows are so sought-after; both productions and casting are second to none. Just a bit disappoint that CHUCK can’t even make the list, the stories & the characters are very interesting, I really like the girl who plays Sarah Walker especially, she’ll be on big screen sooner or later I guess, why ? She’s pretty & places need to be big are indeed big – What could be better ? :)
Who the hell is still watching Prison Break?
I stopped watching after they – have a guess – ESCAPED FROM PRISON!
Season 2 – they break back in…
Season 3 – they open their own prison (with hilarious consequences)?
Season 4 – The recession bites & cutbacks have to be made, causing prisoner dissatisfaction?
Season 5 – oh no, not more. I’m going to slit my wrists…

As soon as Lost comes back that will prob be back at the top as I know that used to be the most downloaded.
I have to admit I watch a few shows off that list like Entourage, Dexter, South Park, Californication, Desperate Housewives.
I used to download Prison Break as well but they now show that in the UK the night after its on in the US anyway so don’t really need to download that anymore. Although it has gone downhill, Season 1 was amazing then went down hill although I thought it got back to its best when they were in Sona Prison in season 3.
So basically Prison Break is good when they are in prison trying to bust out, once they’ve actually broken out of prison it goes boring.

My bet is that next year True Blod will be much more popular. Not because the next season will be better than the current (I have no idea about that), but because it seems to take some time before a new series catches on on the internet.

Hereoes, House & Dexter? Awesome as usual. As for The Shield not being in that list – this week’s (final?) episode was over-the-top excellent! Poor old Vic? Poor old Shane… :P
Where’s Flashpoint, Crash or The Unit though? These three are all great shows. Oh, & Terminator fans could do worse than checking out ‘The Sarah Connor Chronicles’.

Heroes is horrible. Have you heard “the 400 monkey on 400 typewriters for 400 years?”
Well its like that, but instead of 400 typwriters, they have a single iphone with permanent note app, and only 1 hour instead of 400 years. That’s a typical Heroes script.
Also, Terminator is awesome. I don’t know why people don’t watch it. It is like a weekly “summer blockbuster”.
Heroes is going ultra-cheesy now.

And omg i can not believe people watch shows like, csi or other murder/criminal investigation shows, dancing with the stars, American idol, survivor, lost, prison break, etc on tv. I mean comeon. I would only watch that if they paid me alot of money.
Merlin, Smallville, Crusoe and Stargate Atlantis are the best shows on TV

“The bad news is we’ve just learned that it’s not scheduled to air until next summer” and then only on a digital channel aka sky with adverts every 10 mins…
