Ares Includes BitTorrent Support

First Limewire integrated BitTorrent, now Ares has also updated its P2P client to support BitTorrent downloads. It’s all still very basic, but it’s good to see that more and more P2P clients are starting to support BitTorrent.

ares BitTorrentIt seems like P2P developers don’t want to miss out on all the BitTorrent goodness. However, I’m pretty sure that existing BitTorrent users won’t switch to Ares too easily, but it’s a great opportunity for Ares users to discover the wonderful world of BitTorrent.

Ares uses the “Ares network” and is a free and open source Windows application. You can download the latest Ares version here.
