Considering the latest hacking woes being suffered by Sony, this move is bound to set some pulses racing.
According to reports on Xbox-Scene, users with modified Xbox 360 consoles that were previously banned from Xbox Live were temporarily able to access the service again.
An admin on FortressCraft forums offered the following advice:
“In order to do this you are going to need to take your banned console and plug it into live, then you are going to have to manually update your dash using this file. Simply put that on the root of a USB stick and reboot the console, it should automatically start installing the update.”
Unfortunately the party was over as quickly as it began with Microsoft reversing their decision within hours. Why did they allow them back at all? No one knows….
