Top 10 Most Pirated TV Shows on BitTorrent

Written by Ernesto on January 06, 2009

TV shows are by far the most wanted files on BitTorrent, and according to some, it’s becoming the modern day TiVo. But what are all those people downloading?

top gear Top Gear is leading this week’s chart. UFC 92 is one of the surprising (one-time) entries.

The data for the most recent TV episodes are collected by TorrentFreak from a representative sample of BitTorrent sites and is for informational and educational reference only. A list of the most pirated TV-shows of 2008 was published two weeks ago.

Thanks to ShowInsider we now also include a list based on the total number of downloads (not only recent episodes) of all shows in the past week.

why is it i cant get into these shows anymore.. ever since 'lost' they all just seem to annoy me (i never finished lost). Its like there great at first and then they always muck it up with complicated crap that just seems to be FILLER for drama.. thats why I turned to comedy shows like The Office.. you dont really have to give a shit about the storyline and crap..

now its all crap that seems to give you a tiny bit of the story and then waste tons of time until commercial break..

I guess its good that you can download these shows without commercials.. i dont know how people deal with all those breaks..

Top Gear is a great show some people just don't have the same sense of humor that Jeremy Clarkson has. However I do, and I'm also a petrol head so I have watched all 12 seaons and counting.

Used to watch Top Gear, now it just irritates me, esp after the biased review (and lies) of the Tesla test…

sickening.

Be still my fellow comrades, the greatest television show known to man is returning later this month.

Demons sucks.

<sigh>

Stargate Atlantis is now over. There'll be a movie to complete the cliffhanger of the last episode, then it's on to Stargate Universe.

Exactly _what_ lies? That it'll only do 40 of a professed 200 miles on a single charge? Or that the super-heavy batteries ruin the balance of the thing? Or the fact that the electricity for this so-called 'clean' car comes from - guess what - burning fossil fuels (LOL)?

Truth is that next-gen motorised transport will be fuelled by hydrogen (prolly generated by solar means of some fashion), not bloody batteries. ROFL!

Please elaborate on Top Gear's crimes against humanity - & also how you found what is essentially these days a 'comedy show', "sickening"?

eheheh =]

Look at the video of the Tesla review (can be found on google).

JC makes such a big deal about charging the Tesla, 16hrs… load of crap,
Charging Time with a 220 V 70 amp High Power Connector you can have installed in your house is only 3,5 hours from dead empty to 100% full.

Even with the current energy mix of Powerplants electrical mobility is many times more efficient than petrol engines where most of the energy is lost to heat.
Plus petrol comes from only one place (and dont forget the nice arabs who have control over most of the oil exports.. ), electricity comes from many SUSTAINABLE places like solar, wind, turbine, nuclear, water as well as coal etc

Range goes down on ANY car if you drive like that. When TopGear did the "one gallon supercar race" the Ferrari 599 achieved only 1.7 Mile per Gallon. That means 39 Miles with a fully filled up tank. Even the Audi R8 got only 5 MPG and not the 20 MPG supposed.

And finally, the way its portrayed in TG, like the Tesla ran out of juice.. which it never did and hence they didnt have to push it into the garage. I wont go into detail here but do a quick google search on this and you should see a host of sites discussing this.

The acting like the car ran out of juice is what i find "sickening".

Hope I answered your questions ;)

Cheers!

By this time no big TV shows are airing so we have some average quality shows. In about one week it will be millions of seeds behind lost or PB….

I love the humor and the cars, this is the best show I have ever watched to come out of the U.K.

Clarkson is, for want of any better word, a tit. Sneering cunts like him are ten a penny, I figure you've got be of pretty low intelligence to find him funny, informative or entertaining…

19 Jan 09, 2009 at 06:30 by Soul Eater

Top Gear is great, begbie if you are so smart go watch fifth gear or one of the other milion crappy tv car shows

20 Jan 09, 2009 at 10:09 by CMG

Actually Jeremy Clarkson is intelligent - just in his own field mostly though. Ask him anything about roads, traffic, cars, fuel, etc and he can talk volumes, ask him about politics and he will be informed but obviously not as much as cars, and so on and so forth. To be honest, if someone dislikes him, you're entitled to your opinion but try forcing them on others again and I'll bite your nose off.

I personally am excited to see the next Prison Break and Family Guy, and the new CSI:LV should be good too.

Vroom! Vroom! Gotta love the internal-combustion engine tho', eh? =]

Top Gear should be on BBC1! no other BBC shows make it to the top of this list!
