SuprNova: The Legend Returns Today
Written by Ernesto on August 21, 2007The legendary BitTorrent site “SuprNova” will return today, courtesy of The Pirate Bay. Not surprisingly, the new and improved SuprNova has a special message to the copyright police: “You are the past and the forgotten, we are the Internet and the future”.
At the time we post this article the countdown message on SuprNova shows that the site will go live in less than six hours.
The SuprNova team is proud to relaunch this piece of Internet history and they let us know: “SuprNova has been down for some years due to some heavy pressure from the copyright lobby. The former owner sloncek donated SuprNova to The Pirate Bay – and as you know, we like to kick ass and bow for noone!”
The new and improved version of SuprNova will be a combination of old and new features. It will have a different look and feel, but it is clearly inspired by the old SuprNova design.
The first weeks after its launch will be used as a public beta test. This means that there will probably be some bugs and minor problems that need to be taken care of, but nothing too serious hopefully.
SuprNova crawls more than 25.000 trackers and has a huge database of more than 1.000.000 torrents with nearly 25.000.000 peers. This means that SuprNova will start where it left of, as one of the biggest BitTorrent indexing sites.
Last but not least, the SuprNova team has a strong message for the anti-pirates:
“This is how it works. Whatever you sink, we build back up. Whomever you sue, ten new pirates are recruited. Wherever you go, we are already ahead of you. You are the past and the forgotten, we are the internet and the future.”

i am a regestired member of the Pirate Bay Fourm and it’s so sweet to have Super Nova return from the deepths of cyber world. as my faviort saying from a movie:
“long live the fighter.”

What was supposed to be “For the people by the people and of the people” has become so owned by the illuminati that there is no respect left for what people want.
I’m glad someone is willing to be the big dick and take the heat for the little private darknets. Public trackers are a waste of time.

Why didnt they use Suprnova.org for their YouTube/Joox.net service ?
SuprNova(bittorrent) is more than just movies, unlike Joox. Plus althought Joox/Stage6 has better quality than Youtube, it’s still crap.

They had to do some upgrades it will be up soon.
Sloncek wanted SN.org brought back the way it was. TPB crew has done that, they can easily make a new site for the video stream they don’t need the SN.org name to make it a huge success
Man, this a definite morale lowerer for the anti pirates. I loved suprnova when it was around, and now it’s BACK!!!
is it just me or is suprnova over run with fakes and bad torrents. I typed in axxo and almost the hole first page were fakes. Its great that they wanna have 25.000 trackers, but not so great when some of those are overrun with fakes.
I’m so excited, I can’t even breathe. Oh dear. This is oh so exciting.
Actually I never been to suprnova before, sadly. If I did i’ll be so excited. Damnit! :(
It wasn’t up yesterday but it’s up now. And again, I wish I was there before it shut down. I hate being a Suprnewbie..
