The BitTorrent Legend Returns: I Am aXXo

It now seems that he is back in business. A few hours ago aXXo uploaded his first movie in months. He chose “I Am Legend”.
Since November 11 2007, when the last official aXXo torrent was uploaded, it has been awfully quiet. Some people assumed that aXXo had got himself caught while others claimed he had an accident. After a while it became clear that he simply decided to take some time off.
An administrator on Darkside RG, the official home of aXXo explained at the time: “aXXo told us that he has decided to take a break, so you will not see new aXXo torrents anywhere for a while. Please show your support by keeping his torrents alive until he comes back, as always, he will post here first when he does.”
Now, after nearly four months of absence aXXo has returned, and uploaded his first .torrent on Darkside RG and other torrent sites. It’s the news that many BitTorrent users have been waiting for.
Marking his comeback with the movie “I Am Legend” could be seen as symbolic. Before aXXo decided to take a break, an estimated one million people downloaded his DVDrips every month. The search term aXXo was undoubtedly the most popular at many torrent sites. Although there are conflicting opinions in respect of the quality of his work, there can be no dispute that he was, and still is, very popular indeed.
While some see him in an almost religious light, others have been quick to take advantage of his popularity for nefarious purposes, or have used the aXXo brand to draw attention to their own releases, like KLAXXON did.
Even though some see him as a legend, aXXo certainly isn’t without his critics but whatever the position, his popularity is indisputable…..along with his modesty ;)

i can’t see a good reason for all this
all he does is rip off the hard work of the old/well respected sceners out there
no one can ever have something bad to say about diamond rips,i don’t see people posting about them and making them gods,they are one of the best,full stop
I cant see the point of loving/praising the person cause he rips/REENCODE movies to fit a 700mb CD

to think that no one uses cds except with audio cds,yeah yeah people with limited bandwidth,well waste your bandwidth on something that has quality and worth it

I appreciate his hard works but still he is copying from scene groups.
He should have his own Rips not scene groups re-codes.
I treat scene DVDRips and aXXo DVDRips all the same, and I could care less if aXXo re-encodes scene releases or not.
I’m not one of those who think that aXXo is some kind of god, but personally I like aXXo because his torrents stay alive much longer than any other torrent you can find on the internet.
I wonder what will aXXo think about KLAXXON, though.

Ive got no problem with bittorrent, sharing is good.
I do appreciate the work that people put into ripping dvd’s and uploading them to bittorrent. Even if theyre just doing it for fun and not for the scene, its nice of them.
However, scene groups work hard, and are much more saught after than a casual bittorrent uploader by law enforcement, so when their hard work is ripped off by someone, who claims its theirs (IE - aXXo), that really pisses me off. These scene groups risk a fuckload to get good quality releases out. They go into cinemas and cam, they leak dvd screeners, they get pre release dvds.
Dont support aXXo the scumbag, support the real scene releases, or the people who rip their own movies.

what do you all care what he put out and at what quality? If you don’t like it don’t download it.
I like aXXo. As said above in some post, his torrents stay alive much longer then any other movie-torrents. I don’t really care if he makes re-encodes.
If I want new movies, I download from private trackers, if I want a little older movies, I download aXXo’s releases where I can find them, and I don’t have to worry that there will be no seeders on them.
He takes negative comments as a baby and expects to change the whole website and its ideals because he cant stop CRYING when people are mean..
Rest i dont care of, fine that he shares stuff with general webbers but his EGO is incredible..
+1 on #12. Who cares what he does? he’s popular, which means torrents with lots of seeds and good lifespans. I appreciate the Scene for their releases but in the end it’s how fast I can get it and what quality it is that matters to me, not who ripped it.

Who cares if he re-encodes? Share the fucking information to all and do with it what you want. If you’re in it for personal gain, then don’t cry if you find things in this particular scene don’t play to your selfish desires.
