Apple Sells Pirated Films on iTunes

Apple is known for its total ban of everything related to BitTorrent. According to the company torrents are associated with copyright infringement, something they want to distance themselves from.

Having read the above, it is very interesting to say the least that Apple’s flagship iTunes is now being linked to piracy as well.

The BBC reports that several pirated films are actually sold on iTunes.

“The popular films, dating from the Soviet era, are being made available to download as smartphone apps.”

“But the original filmakers have not given their permission for the films to go on sale.”

I guess piracy isn’t all that bad if you’re profiting from it. Yeah, like the iPad.
